AXA Investment Managers appoints new Director of US Institutional Business Development
May 1, 2018 — AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) announced today the appointment of John Flynn to the role of Director of US Institutional Business Development as part of AXA IM’s Americas Client Group. John will report to Francisco Arcilla, Global Head of Sales at AXA IM, and will be based in Greenwich, CT.
John joins AXA IM from Gramercy Funds Management, where he led the firm’s business development strategy focused on capital raising, marketing and client service, covering all institutional client segments as well as consultants across North and South America. Previously, he held senior business development roles at Sky Harbor Capital and BlackRock. Earlier in his career he held various roles in portfolio management at GE Capital and GE Asset Management, Citigroup Alternative Investments and Morgan Stanley. John earned an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Plattsburgh State. He is also a CFA charterholder.

John will be responsible for developing key institutional relationships with Corporates, Public Pension Plans, Endowments & Foundations, Insurance Companies, Financial Institutions and OCIOs, as well as key Consultants. John will also play a critical role in proactively distributing AXA IM’s US Fixed Income capabilities, working closely with Pepper Whitbeck, Head of US Fixed Income and US High Yield, and Pepper’s team.
